A string of positive results for both teams means there has been a major rejigging of the WPL points table. Delhi Capitals have now moved to the top of the points table while Gujarat Gaints quickly moved to second on the table after beating UP Warriorz in their previous game.

Gujarat came out swinging, led by Beth Mooney’s 96 against UP Warriorz, which carried the team to 186 for 5. Harleen Deol chipped in with 45 off 32 balls, with six fours. Kashvee Gautam and Tanuja Kanwar took three wickets each to restrict UP Warriorz to 105 and give themselves a major boost in net run rate.

Delhi are coming into this one on the back of a similar performance in their previous game as they beat Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in Bangalore.

Still, Gujarat will take plenty of confidence away from their move up the table. This game against Delhi will be key, which means you would expect their most experienced players in Ashleigh Gardner, Mooney and Dottin to stand up.
