There have been three matches between Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants so far with all three won by Gujarat. That included a tight seven-run win when the sides met in Lucknow earlier in the season.

Hardik Pandya’s 66 helped Gujarat post 135/6 which looked well under par when Lucknow were cruising at 106/1 after 14.2 overs. All hell broke loose later as the Super Giants fell short by seven runs. Noor Ahmad and Mohit Sharma took two wickets each.

Lucknow Super Giants have seen their match abandoned in Chennai last Wednesday keeping them on 11 points from ten matches. A loss here won’t be detrimental but with a number of teams on ten points, this could be a crucial fixture.

Kyle Mayers with 311 runs is Lucknow’s best batter while KL Rahul (274) has been their second-best, but is ruled out of the IPL. Ravi Bishnoi has been their best bowler with 12 wickets.

The Super Giants are struggling for consistency with no batters other than Mayers and Rahul showing the urge to remain at the crease.
