Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz will round off the penultimate leg of the WPL (in Lucknow) as the tournament prepares for a final push in Mumbai. Still, there is plenty at stake as both teams are yet to confirm their spot in the playoffs.

After four losses in four games, RCB are under massive pressure to stay in the competition. They were comprehensively beaten by Delhi Capitals in their previous match, which left them with a negative net run rate and in fourth spot on the points table.

UP Warriorz have a similar tale towards the end of this season. They have now lost their last three matches after they were beaten by Mumbai Indians in Lucknow on Thursday. They have to beat RCB to stand any chance of qualification.

RCB’s form has been appalling. They started with two wins but have since fallen away dramatically, including a Super Over loss to UP Warriorz in this period. In their last game, Delhi chased down 148 with 27 balls to spare and nine wickets in hand.

Smriti Mandhana has not quite hit any level of form. Ellyse Perry has been on the other end of the form spectrum. She even hit 60 off 47 balls in her previous innings while the rest of the RCB batting fell away around her.

UP Warriorz Form

UP Warriorz have also suffered a drastic and dramatic drop in form. After losses to Gujarat (by 81 runs) and Mumbai (by eight wickets), they were beaten by Mumbai for a second time on Thursday, which left them having to beat RCB to give themselves any chance.

Georgia Voll struck some impressive form with 55 off 33 balls with 12 fours against Mumbai whole Grace Harris and Deepti Sharma managed scores of 28 and 27 respectively. No other batter crossed 20.
