India vs Australia Third T20I
As India and Australia move from down south to far east, the series is on the line for the visitors. The third T20I between the teams will be played at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday.

India have been the dominant force in the series, showing their competence in the format. The IPL-strong team has been dominant and will look to close out the series. Australia will have their backs up the wall and could push harder. I am backing India to be still dominant with the huge hits.
- India have scored the most 6s in their last 6 home matches against Australia (T20Is)
- Australia have conceded the most 6s in their last 7 matches against India (T20Is)
- Australia have conceded the most 6s in their last 7 matches played in Asia (T20Is)
- Arshdeep Singh has taken over 1.5 wickets in 5 of his 8 matches played in India (T20Is)
Head to Head
India played Australia in 28 T20Is so far, winning 17 and losing ten. The remaining match ended without any result.
India Form
India won the first match by two wickets and the second one by 44 runs to take a 2-0 lead in the series. With most batters in form, India have been able to score 200+ in both the matches with ease.
Ishan Kishan has been the chief architect with the bat for India, scoring 110 runs in the series with consecutive fifties. There are also runs for others, with Rinku Singh scoring at 230.43.
Bowling hasn’t been great, with three of their bowlers conceding more than 10 runs per over. Only Axar Patel and Mukesh Kumar have been able to keep their rate under control.
India Team News
India played the same team in both their matches and could go the same way, unless they want to give Shivam Dube or Avesh Khan some game time in place of Arshdeep Singh.
Australia Form
Australia still looked hungover from the World Cup win as they struggled to adjust to the format change. Even the presence of World Cup winners didn’t help in the second match.
The Aussies enjoyed the benefits of a Josh Inglis ton in the first match, but that was the lone positive with the bat. Marcus Stoinis and Tim David tried to restore some parity in the second match but were not in the race anytime.
The challenge for the visitors has been with the ball where they struggled big time. Nathan Ellis has been the only successful bowler with three wickets, but they at a hefty rate of more than 11 runs per over.
Australia Team News
Jason Behrendorff sat out the last match and could be back in contention here. Sean Abbott could be the one making way, although the presence of a second spinner could be a luxury.

Verdict
Australia haven’t really settled in the series while India enjoyed the benefits of having specialists for the format. With a strong middle-order that is taking the bowlers to task, India may once again reign supreme in the big hits counter. I am putting my money on India scoring the most 6s in the match.
