Ireland Form

Ireland turned around their poor ODI form with a brilliant victory over South Africa in the 2nd ODI in Dublin. They lead the series 1-0 after the 1st ODI was rained out.

In the 2nd ODI, Ireland batted first and amassed a total of 290 runs. Andy Balbirnie continued his fine form by scoring 102 runs. He was well supported by Harry Tector who hit 79 and George Dockrell who smashed 45 off 23 balls.

The bowling effort by Ireland was as impressive. Mark Adair, Andy McBrine and Josh Little took two wickets apiece. Ireland bowled South Africa out for 247 to win by 43 runs.

Ireland Team News

After a superb performance Ireland are likely to stick with the same side that won the 2nd ODI.

South Africa Form

South Africa suffered an embarrassing defeat in the 2nd ODI to Ireland in Dublin. After electing to bowl first, the Protea bowlers did not back the decision up.

Andile Phehlukwayo went at over seven runs to the over despite taking two wickets. Ireland scored 290 runs in their 50 overs leaving the visitors a stiff target to chase.

Janneman Malan scored 84 runs while Rassie van der Dussen added 49. Unfortunately no one else managed to get going as South Africa were bowled out for 247 runs.

South Africa Team News

South Africa are expected to rest a few players with the T20I series taking priority. George Linda and Lizaad Williams are possible starters with Kagiso Rabada and Tabraiz Shamsi getting a rest.
