Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi Tips & Preview - Who will win the Pakistan Super League Final?

The Multan Sultans bring plenty of form into this final after winning five of their last six matches. My best bet is for the Sultans to lift the trophy in Abu Dhabi.

The Multan Sultans have won three of their last five matches against Peshawar Zalmi. During the current Pakistan Super League they have won one each with the Sultans winning their latest encounter by eight wickets.

The Multan Sultans finished second on the Pakistan Super League table on 10 points after a superb run of form. Over the course of their 10 league matches the Sultans won five and lost five but have now won five of their last six matches.

Last time out the Sultans defeated the table topping Islamabad United in the first qualifier in Abu Dhabi to reach the final. Batting first the Multan Sultans scored 180 runs as Sohaib Maqsood top scored with 59 runs. 

There were also contributions from Johnson Charles (41) and Khushdil Shah (42) lower down the order.

A superb bowling effort by Sohail Tanvir put the Sultans on the winning track. He took 3-17 in four overs while Blessing Muzarabani took 3-31. In the end the Sultans won comfortably by 31 runs.

The Sultans will in all likelihood stick with the same team that got them to the final. The one area of concern will be the poor from of Rilee Rossouw.

Peshawar Zalmi have won three of their last four matches, two of which have been eliminators. 

After finishing third on the table, Zalmi beat Karachi Kings in a nail-biting first eliminator. They then needed to play Islamabad United in the final eliminator to decide the final.

After restricting Islamabad to 174 in their 20 overs in Abu Dhabi, Zalmi cruised to victory with more than three overs to spare. Hazratulla Zazai smashed 66 off 44 balls while Jonathan Wells scored 55 runs to secure an eight wicket win.

With two brilliant eliminator wins behind them, Zalmi should go with the same side. Hazratullah Zazai has been incredible since coming into the side with three 50+ scores in four matches.
