A run of three straight defeats has cost Carles Cuadrat his job as Bengaluru coach, with Naushad Moosa taking over as the interim manager.

A six-game unbeaten start to the season had given plenty of hopes for Bengaluru fans, but things have taken a dramatic turn for the worse.

Bengaluru lost 1-0 to reigning champions ATK Mohun Bagan and went down by the same scoreline to Jamshedpur.

It was a 3-1 loss to leaders Mumbai City that ultimately saw Cuadrat's days numbered, despite his side still sitting in fifth place in the ISL standings.

Bengaluru conceded twice in the opening 15 minutes before a Sunil Chhetri gave hope in the 75th minute. But Bartholomew Ogbeche put the seal on the win for Mumbai.

Naushad Moosa's promises of a more attacking style of play could see changes. He will have to make at least one with right-back Harmanjot Khabra suspended.

Striker Deshawn Brown has yet to score this season and his place in the starting line-up is under threat once again. Midfielder Erik Paartalu missed the last game, but could return.

East Bengal Form

Robbie Fowler's East Bengal have found their feet in the ISL with just one defeat in their last six games following a difficult start.

They picked up a seventh point from nine games when drawing 1-1 with Goa in their last match.

Bright Enobakhare got his second goal in as many games to put 10-man East Bengal in front in the 79th minute. But they conceded two minutes later as Devendra Murgaokar equalised for Goa.

It is three draws and a win in their last four games, a run which moved them off the foot of the table.

East Bengal drew with Kerala Blasters 1-1 and Chennaiyin 2-2 before defeating bottom side Odisha 3-1.

New signing Bright Enobakhare has impressed since joining the club and will continue in attack after two goals in as many games. Aaron Amadi-Holloway partnered him against Goa, but Jacques Maghoma is pushing for a recall.

East Bengal will be without centre-back and captain Danny Fox after his sending off in the draw with Goa.

This is the first meeting between the sides in the Indian Super League. They have clashed in the I-League, Durand Cup and Hero Super Cup over the last decade.

In the last 10 head to heads, East Bengal hold a 6-4 advantage. That includes a 2-1 victory in the most recent fixture in the Durand Cup in 2019.

Will Bengaluru enjoy the new manager bounce following the sacking of Carles Cuadrat? Interim coach Naushad Moosa is promising attacking play and that can lead to goals against an East Bengal side which has seen BTTS in their last five matches.

With Robbie Fowler's side proving hard to beat, East Bengal are tipped for another share of the points after three draws in their last four games.
