After picking up their second win of the Big Bash League 2020-21 season, Brisbane Heat will lock horns with Sydney Thunder looking to avenge their defeat earlier in the tournament. This match #28 will be played at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Monday.

The Heat are sixth in the table with eight points from six matches that fetched two wins and four losses. The Thunder are top of the mix with five wins, one loss, and 19 points. Sydney Sixers and Hobart Hurricanes have the chance to go above them and the Thunder may even start this match in third place.

Brisbane Heat Form

Brisbane Heat started the season with three straight losses including a four-wicket loss to Sydney Thunder. However, two wins in their last three matches revived the franchise’s top-four chances. Stand-in captain Jimmy Peirson (138 runs, Avg. 46.00, SR 127.77) has risen up to the task, while Max Bryant (164) remains up and down with his performances.

Mujeeb Ur Rahman (nine wickets, ER 6.15) has started picking up wickets at will making him vital for the Heat. Lewis Gregory (four wickets, 61 runs) has been the missing puzzle with the all-rounder ticking the right boxes.

The impressive batting form of the troika Callum Ferguson (208 runs), Alex Hales (197) and Usman Khawaja (164) is leading their charge.

Tanveer Sangha (ten wickets, ER 6.42) has been massive with the ball, while Daniel Sams (eight wickets, 96 runs) has been solid as ever with consistent all-round returns.
