Chennaiyin Form

Having started the season with a 2-1 win against Jamshedpur, Chennaiyin have now recorded one victory in their last six games.

Csaba Lazlo's side played out a 2-2 draw with bottom of the table East Bengal on Saturday and have a quick turnaround for the repeat of last year's final.

Against East Bengal, Chennaiyin twice led through Lallianzuala Chhangte's third minute goal and Rahim Ali 64th minute strike. But they had to settle for a share of the points after two Matti Steinmann equalisers.

Prior to that, Chennaiyin had drawn with Kerala Blasters and NorthEast United and lost to Bengaluru and Mumbai City. They also recorded a 2-1 win over Goa in what has been an inconsistent start to the season.

ATK Mohun Bagan Form

ATK Mohun Bagan won a tactical battle against Bengaluru last week with David Williams' wonder strike the difference between that sides in a 1-0 victory.

The win made it two in a row for Antonio Lopez Habas' side, who had also won their previous fixture 1-0 against Goa. Roy Krishna scored an 85th minute penalty to win that game.

It is now five wins from seven games for the reigning champions this season. ATK won their opening three games of the season with 1-0 wins over Kerala Blasters and Odisha, and a 2-0 victory over East Bengal in the Kolkata derby.

ATK went two games without a win when losing 2-1 loss to Jamshedpur before drawing 1-1 with Hyderabad. But they have bounced back well and can go top of the table if avoiding defeat to Chennaiyin.

Team News

Chennaiyin boss Csaba Lazlo is unlikely to make many changes. Striker Isma will come onto the bench after recovering from a hamstring injury, but he is not fit enough to start in attack. Fatkhullo Fatkhulloev looks set for another cameo role from the bench.

ATK Mohun Bagan should be unchanged, although Glan Martins is pushing for a recall in midfield. Spanish midfielder Javi Hernandez continues to be sidelined with injury, as does wing-back Michael Soosairaj. Australian Brad Inman is likely to be left on the bench again.

Head to Head

ATK Mohun Bagan have had the better of Chennaiyin with seven wins from 15 head to head matches. Chennaiyin have won four times with a further four draws in the Indian Super League.

Last season, it was a win each in the regular season with Chennaiyin winning 3-1 at ATK. Revenge was gained with a 1-0 victory in the reverse fixture before ATK won the Grand Final 3-1 to be crowned champions.

Chennaiyin vs ATK Mohun Bagan Predictions

ATK Mohun Bagan have won four of the last five matches against Chennaiyin, including in last year's Grand Final. They are taken to repeat that success and move to the top of the ISL standings. All five wins this season have come with clean sheets and that is the value bet.
