Chennaiyin Form

Chennaiyin's goal-shyness continued on Wednesday when they slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Jamshedpur. Enes Sipovic put through his own net in injury-time.

It was the fifth time in the last six games that Csaba Lazlo's side had failed to score.

Chennaiyin have drawn a blank in 10 of their 17 games this season, scoring just 11 times all season.

Last year's beaten finalists have won only once in their last 11 matches. That came in with a 2-1 win over bottom side Odisha last month.

Chennaiyin Team News

Left-back Jerry Lalrinzuala is available again after serving a one-game ban.

Midfielder Anirudh Thapa will be given a late fitness test after his latest comeback from injury lasted just 45 minutes.

Goa Form

Goa made it five draws in a row when scoring a late equaliser to hold leaders Mumbai City to a dramatic 3-3 stalemate on Monday.

Juan Ferrando's side trailed 2-0 to Hugo Boumous and Adam Le Fondre goals. Gael Martins and Igor Angulo levelled matters.

Rowllin Borges thought he had won it for Mumbai with a 90th minute goal. But Ishan Pandita scored a 96th minute equaliser.

The latest draw followed 1-1 stalemates with ATK Mohun Bagan, Kerala Blasters and East Bengal and a 2-2 draw with NorthEast United.

Goa have lost in their last nine games. The last defeat was to Chennaiyin in mid-December.

Goa Team News

Midfielder Brandon Fernandes is the only injury doubt for Goa.

Otherwise Juan Ferrando will have a full squad to choose from.

Head to Head

Chennaiyin trailed 10-8 to Goa in the head to head, but did bridge the gap with a 2-1 victory in December.

Goals from Rafael Crivellaro and Raheem Ali earned the Marina Machins all three points. Jorge Ortiz scored for Goa in between.

In 19 previous meetings since 2014, there has been just one draw.

Chennaiyin's goalscoring struggles continued with a fifth blank in six games on Wednesday. Since their last meeting, free-scoring Goa have outscored Chennaiyin 17-4 in their respective last 10 games.

Despite Goa drawing their last five in a row and six of their last seven matches, The Gaurs' scoring prowess makes them the best bet here.

  • Chennaiyin have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Chennaiyin have seen under 2.5 goals in 7 of their last 8 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Goa have won 6 of their last 8 matches against Chennaiyin (all competitions).
