Chennaiyin and Kerala Blasters go head to head in the Indian Super League on Sunday at GMC Stadium in Bambolin. Chennaiyin won their opening game, while Kerala have one point from their first two fixtures of the season.

Chennaiyin bounced back from grand final disappointment when making a winning start to the 2020/21 Indian Super League season.

Csaba Lazlo's side won their opening game 2-1 against Jamshedpur. Midfielder Anirudh Thapa scored just a minute into the game and Isma doubled the lead from the penalty spot. Former striker Nerijus Valskis' goal for Jamshedpur was nothing more than a consolation.

It was a welcome start to the season for two-time champions Chennaiyin, who lost 3-1 to ATK Mohun Bagan in last year's ISL final.

Kerala Blasters are still looking for their first win of the season after collecting a single point from their opening two games.

Kibu Vicuna's side lost 1-0 to reigning champions ATK Mohun Bagan in the first game of the new season.

Kerala gave up a 2-0 lead to draw with NorthEast United in their latest game. Imports Sergio Cidoncha and Gary Hooper (penalty) put Kerala in command, but Kwesi Appiah pulled one back and substitute Idrissa Sylla levelled in the 90th minute.
