Chennaiyin Form

Chennaiyin find themselves in sixth spot in the table despite winning just one of their last seven matches.

That run continued with a 1-0 defeat to reigning champions ATK Mohun Bagan in a rematch of last season's ISL final.

It was heartbreak for Csaba Lazlo's side as they conceded a 91st minute minute with David Williams scoring the only goal of the game.

The Marina Machans' only win since before Christmas came with a 2-1 win over bottom side Odisha. They have drawn four of the last seven matches.

Goals have been Chennaiyin's problem with just 10 scored in 13 matches this season. They have failed to score in seven games.

Chennaiyin Team News

Attacking midfielder Rafael Crivellaro has been ruled out for the season with an ankle injury and has returned to Brazil.

Former Goa midfielder Manuel Lanzarote has been signed as Crivellaro's replacement, but is a week away from becoming available as he completes a quarantine period.

Chennaiyin are sweating on the fitness of key midfielder Anirudh Thapa after he missed the last game.

Mumbai City Form

Mumbai City remain five points clear at the top of the table after a 1-0 win over East Bengal on Friday.

The Islanders bounced back from a 0-0 draw with Hyderabad as they returned to winning ways courtesy of centre-back Mourtada Fall's first-half header.

Sergio Lobera's side have now won nine of their last 11 games and are unbeaten since losing their opening fixture of the season.

They have also kept eight clean sheets and have conceded just four goals in 12 matches this campaign.

Mumbai City Team News

Indian international winger Jackichand Singh has signed for a second spell with the club. He will go straight into the squad after joining from Jamshedpur.

Winger Farukh Choudhary has left the club and returned to Jamshedpur as part of the deal.

Spanish defender Hernan Santana missed the last game through suspension, but is back. Cy Goodard should be the one to drop out of the team.

Bartholomew Ogbeche has been left on the bench in the last two matches and could be rotated with Adam Le Fondre.

Head to Head

Mumbai City came from a goal down to win 2-1 when the sides met at the start of December. Jakub Sylvestr opened the scoring for Chennaiyin, but Hernan and Adam Le Fondre scored for Mumbai City.

Chennaiyin lead the overall head-to-head 7-5 with two draws in 14 previous clashes in the Indian Super League.

Mumbai are churning out win after win this season, and should be too good for Chennaiyin. It is the ISL's meanest defence facing the worst attack, and it is all set for another win to nil for the Islanders.
