East Bengal Form

East Bengal have now drawn half of their 14 matches after a 1-1 stalemate with Goa in the last match.

Robbie Fowler's side made it three draws in the last four games as Danny Fox equalised to cancel out Igor Angulo's goal.

East Bengal's Anthony Pikingston missed a second minute penalty against 10-man Goa, who had Edu Bedia sent off.

The ISL newcomers have lost just once in the last nine games. That came in a 1-0 defeat to leaders Mumbai City.

They have beaten Odisha 3-1 and Bengaluru 1-0 during their upturn in form. East Bengal have also drawn with Kerala Blasters, Chennaiyin and Goa twice each.

East Bengal Team News

East Bengal could have two new faces if they complete the signings of full-back Sarthak Golui and midfielder Sourav Das from Mumbai City in time.

Robbie Fowler has a full squad to choose from and is expected to recall Matti Steinmann to the midfield.

On loan goalkeeper Subrata Paul will remain on the bench. Abhishek Ambekar, Mohammed Irshad and Samad Ali Mallick have all left the squad bound for the I-League.

Bengaluru Form

Bengaluru have now gone eight games without a win after giving up a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw with Hyderabad.

The Blues looked set for all three points thanks to goals from Sunil Chhetri and Leon Augustine Asokan in each half.

But they conceded in the 86th and 91st minutes as Aridane and Fran Sandaza earned Hyderabad a point.

Carles Cuadrat was sacked after a run of three straight losses, but interim coach Naushad Moosa has been unable to find the winning formula.

Bengaluru have stopped the losing run of late with draws against NorthEast United, Odisha and Hyderabad in the last four games.

Bengaluru Team News

Naushad Moosa has promised changes in the search for a win, with two of them enforced.

Centre-back Juanan is out with a hamstring strain, while midfielder Erik Paartalu is suspended after picking up a fourth yellow card of the season.

Ashique Kuruniyan is out with a fractured skull and fellow midfielder Dimas Delgado is unavailable after returning to Spain.

There should be a debut for new signing Xisco Hernandez in midfield, and young defender Parag Shrivas is expected to be handed a start.

Head to Head

East Bengal were 1-0 winners of the first meeting between the two sides in the Indian Super League. Matti Steinmann got the only goal in the win last month.

East Bengal now hold a 7-4 advantage from the last 11 meetings between the sides and have won four of the last five clashes.

It is a huge game for both sides in the context of making the finals. A share of the points is predicted with East Bengal and Bengaluru both having drawn 3 of their last 4 matches.
