Goa and Mumbai City clash in the Indian Super League at Fatorda Stadium in Vasco da Gama on Wednesday. Both sides go in search of their first win of the 2020/21 ISL season after failing to win their opening game at the weekend.

Goa Form

Goa had to settle for a share of the points in their opening game of the season on Sunday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Bengaluru.

Bengaluru led 2-0 thanks to goals from Brazilian winger Cleiton Silva and Spanish defender Juanan. But two goals in three minutes from Goa's Spanish forward Igor Angulo rescued a point.

Goa finished top of the league standings last season before losing their semi-final to Channaiyin. Goa lost the opening leg 4-1, and a 4-2 victory in the second leg was not enough to progress to the final.

Goa Team News

Igor Angulo will be looking to add to his two goals on debut for Goa. Spanish midfielder Alberto Noguera will be pushing for a starting role after being left on the bench against Bengaluru.

Mumbai City Form

Mumbai City started the new season as they ended last season - with a defeat - as they lost 1-0 to NorthEast United in their opening game.

There was no dream start to former Goa coach Sergio Lobera's reign as his side were beaten by a 49th minute penalty from NorthEast United's Ghana striker Kwesi Appiah. Mumbai had midfielder Ahmed Jahouh sent off late in the first-half.

Mumbai City lost their final two games of the 2019/20 season 5-2 to league champions Goa and 1-0 Chennaiyin as they missed out on the play-offs by three points.

Mumbai City Team News

Midfielder Ahmed Jahouh misses the game against his former side after being sent off against NorthEast United.

Former FC Goa defender Mourtada Fall was an unused substitute in the opening game, but could come into the side.

Goa have won five of the last six matches against Mumbai City across the last three ISL seasons. They did the double last year with a 4-2 victory away followed by a 5-2 successes at home. Spanish striker Coro scored three times across the two games.
