Hyderabad ended a run of four successive draws with a 2-0 win over Chennaiyin last Sunday to sit fourth in the ISL table.
Fran Sandaza opened the scoring and his replacement Joel Chianese put the seal on the win after coming on. It extended The Nizams' unbeaten run to seven games.
Manolo Marquez's side had drawn four in row prior to the victory over Chennaiyin. They drew 0-0 with Mumbai City and Jamshedpur, 1-1 with Odisha and 2-2 with Bengaluru.
During the unbeaten run, they have also beaten Chennaiyin 4-1 and NorthEast United 4-2.
Hyderabad Team News
Attacking midfielder Halicharan Narzary was left on the bench against Chennaiyin due to fitness issues. But he could return to the starting line-up.
Joel Chianese scored from the bench in the win, giving manager Manolo Marquez a dilemma over whether to recall the Australian.
Forward Nikhil Poojari remains on the injury list. Defender Souvik Chakrabarti is absent due to personal reasons.
NorthEast United Form
NorthEast United are a place below Hyderabad in fifth on goal difference following a 2-2 draw with Goa on Thursday.
The Highlanders made it five games unbeaten under interim boss Khalid Jamil as Federico Gallego scored twice from the penalty spot.
NorthEast drew 1-1 with Bengaluru before reeling off three wins in a row.
They were 2-1 winners over Jamshedpur and then beat the ISL's top two sides.
They upset ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 before completing the double over leaders Mumbai City with a 1-0 win.
NorthEast United Team News
Right-back Ashutosh Mehta and defensive midfielder Khassa Camara are both ruled out due to one-game suspensions.
Camara's absence is likely to lead to a recall to the starting line-up for centre-back Dylan Fox. He made his return as a substitute against Goa.
Head to Head
Hyderabad hold a 2-1 advantage over NorthEast United after recording a 4-2 victory when the sides met in December.
Aridane and Joel Chianese put Hyderabad 2-0 up, but they were level at the break after a Federico Gallego penalty and Benjamin Lambot equaliser.
A second-half double from Liston Colaco sealed the points for Hyderabad.
These two sides have served up six goals in their last two meetings, both of which ended in Hyderabad wins. I'm expecting goals again.
Both sides are proving hard to beat, so this one can end with a share of the points.
