Jamshedpur Form
Jamshedpur ended a five-game winless run with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over bottom side Odisha on Monday.
The victory, which came courtesy of Mobashir Rahman's free-kick, was a confidence booster. It moved Owen Coyle's side up to seventh place.
The Men of Steel had lost three in row against Kerala Blasters (3-2), Goa (3-0) and Bengaluru (1-0).
Jamshedpur halted that run with successive draws as they drew 0-0 with Hyderabad and Kerala Blasters before beating Odisha.
Jamshedpur Team News
Jamshedpur have bolstered their squad with the signing of former ATK Mohun Bagan defender Boris Singh Thangjam. He could make a debut.
Full-back Laldinliana Renthlei picked up an injury against Odisha on his return to action, and is a doubt once again.
Spanish forward David Grande remains sidelined with injury.
East Bengal Form
East Bengal's mid-season form has disappeared after losing two of their last three matches in a five-game winless run.
Robbie Fowler's side conceded twice in the first half as goals from Cleiton Silva and a Debjit Majumder own goal earned Bengaluru a 2-0 win.
It followed a 1-0 defeat to leaders Mumbai City, while SCEB have also drawn three of the last five.
They have held Kerala Blasters and Goa to 1-1 stalemates and played out a 0-0 draw with Chennaiyin.
East Bengal Team News
Coach Robbie Fowler begins a four-game touchline ban after receiving the hefty punishment for abusing officials after the defeat to Goa at the end of last month.
Fowler made changes at half-time against Bengaluru, and Jacques Maghoma and Anthony Pilkington could come into the starting line-up on Sunday.
Full-back Sarthak Golui and midfielder Sourav Das could be in line for debuts after signing from Mumbai City.
Centre-back Raju Gaikwad and midfielder Loken Meitei remain out injured.
Head to Head
These two sides played out a 0-0 draw in their first meeting in the Indian Super League in December.
Before joining the ISL, East Bengal were 6-0 winners against Jamshedpur in the previous clash in the Durand Cup in 2019.
