Kerala Blasters Form

Kerala Blasters thought they had made it back-to-back wins, only to concede in the 95th minute in a 1-1 draw with East Bengal.

Kibu Vicuna's side led through Jordan Murray's second-half goal. But Scott Neville headed home an equaliser deep into added time.

The Blasters had bounced back from successive defeats with an entertaining 3-2 victory over Jamshedpur in the previous game.

They had Lalruatthara sent off in that victory, but goals from Costa Nhamoinesu and a Murray double handed the strugglers the points.

Kerala Blasters Team News

Kibu Vicuna is unlikely to make many changes. Midfielder Juande could come into the side for his first start since joining Kerala.

Defender Bakary Kone has missed the last two games and is unlikely to be risked despite closing in on a return.

Full-back Lalruatthara is available again after suspension.

Bengaluru Form

Bengaluru halted a four-game losing run with a 1-1 draw with NorthEast United. Rahul Bheke cancelled out Luis Machado's opener to earn a point for The Blues.

Coach Carles Cuadrat was sacked after three losses in a row to ATK Mohun Bagan, Jamshedpur and Mumbai City.

His replacement Naushad Moosa, the interim coach, was unable to turn things around when his lost 1-0 to East Bengal.

The draw against NorthEast was a welcome point, but will it be the turning point in the season?

Bengaluru Team News

Midfielder Dimas Delgado has returned to Spain for a family emergency and won't play. His absence could pave the way for Fran Gonzalez to return.

Deshorn Brown has left the club for NorthEast United. His departure came after Bengaluru re-signed former player Xisco Hernandez for the remainder of the season.

Midfielder Hernandez was part of Bengaluru's title winning side in 2018/19 and played for Odisha last season. He will not be available for this game while quarantining.

Head to Head

Bengaluru have won five of their previous seven matches against Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. Kerala have won once, while there has been one draw.

Last month in the reverse fixture, Bengaluru won 4-2 in an entertaining game.

Rahul Kannoly Praveen gave Kerala the lead before Cleiton Silva, Erik Paartalu and Sunil Chhetri scored for Bengaluru. Jordan Murray reduced the deficit before Chhetri, who also missed a penalty, put a seal on the win.

Predictions

Bengaluru have an excellent record against Kerala Blasters. They showed signs of improvement in their last game and can return to winning ways against the Blasters. Both teams to score is also tipped.

  • Bengaluru have won 5 of their 7 matches against Kerala Blasters (Indian Super League).
  • Kerala Blasters have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Kerala Blasters have conceded most goals this season with 20 in 11 matches (Indian Super League).
