Mumbai City Form

Mumbai City were held to a second draw in their last three games when drawing 1-1 with Chennaiyin on Monday.

That point extended their lead at the top of the table to six points.

Bartholomew Ogbeche scored on his return to the Mumbai side, but Isma levelled from the penalty spot for Chennaiyin.

The Islanders haven't lost since their opening day defeat to NorthEast United, but have dropped points in two of the last three matches.

Sergio Lobera's side were held to a 0-0 draw by Hyderabad before winning 1-0 against East Bengal through centre-back Mourtada Fall's first-half header.

Mumbai City News

Bartholomew Ogbeche got the vote to start in attack against Chennaiyin and produced the goods with the Mumbai goal.

Will he retain his spot? Or will Adam Le Fondre be recalled to the attack? Coach Sergio Lobera has rotated the pair this season.

Indian international winger Jackichand Singh made his second debut for the club from the bench, but is set to start on Saturday.

Mandar Rao Dessai returns from suspension, but injury could keep Anirudh Thapa out and Rowllin Borges is banned for one-game.

NorthEast United Form

Assistant coach Alison Kharsyntiew and new boss Khalid Jamil have overseen back-to-back wins in charge of NorthEast United.

They were 2-1 winners over Jamshedpur thanks to goals from Ashutosh Mehta and new signing Deshorn Brown.

The Highlanders then upset ATK Mohun Bagan 2-1 on Tuesday. Luis Machado and Federico Gallego were on the mark to move NorthEast up to fifth place.

New boss Jamil had to complete a mandatory 14-day quarantine period, but has had an impact as NorthEast coach.

He replaced Gerard Nus, who was sacked after a run of four draws and three losses.

NorthEast Team News

Captain Benjamin Lambot made his return from injury as a substitute against ATK, and will slot back into the defence.

Deshorn Brown looks to have made the striker's role his own, meaning Idrissa Sylla will remain on the bench.

Full-back Ashutosh Mehta missed the win over ATK Mohun Bagan and a late decision will be made on his fitness.

Head to Head

NorthEast United are the only side to defeat Mumbai City this season having won the opening game 1-0.

Kwesi Appiah scored a 49th penalty for NorthEast after Mumbai City's Ahmed Jahouh had been sent off shortly before half-time.

Mumbai City lead the head-to-head record 7-4 with two draws.

Predictions

NorthEast United have improved since the sacking of Gerard Nus, and will be bidding to complete the double over Mumbai. Mumbai have been efficient rather than expansive of late, and I'm predicting this to be a dour affair with under 2.5 goals.
