NorthEast United and Chennaiyin go head-to-head in the Indian Super League at Tilak Maidan Stadium on Sunday. Chennaiyin have not won in their last three games and face unbeaten Northeast United, who are the ISL's draw specialists.

NorthEast United have made an unbeaten start to the season with nine points from five games, courtesy of two wins and three draws.

New coach Gerard Nus saw his side make a winning start with a 1-0 victory over Mumbai City. NorthEast United then snatched a point with a final minute equaliser from Idrissa Sylla in a 2-2 draw with Kerala Blasters.

It was another draw next as NorthEast were held 1-1 by Goa with Sylla scoring a 40th minute penalty. NorthEast won 2-0 against East Bengal before another draw in their most recent match. That came in a 2-2 draw with Bengaluru with Luis Machado scoring twice.

If Gerard Nus' rotation policy continues, we should see Idrissa Sylla return to the starting line-up. He was rested against Bengaluru with Kwesi Appiah starting.

Chennaiyin Form

Last year's beaten finalists Chennaiyin have lost their last two games to continue a frustrating start to the season.

Csaba Lazlo's side suffered their first defeat when losing 1-0 to Bengaluru. Despite taking the lead through Jakub Sylvestr, Chennaiyin lost 2-1 to Mumbai City in their last match.

Chennaiyin had won their opening game 2-1 against Jamshedpur thanks to goals from Anirudh Thapa and Isma. They were then left to rue Sylvestr's penalty miss as they drew 0-0 with Kerala Blasters.

Chennaiyin lost defender Enes Sipovic to an early injury against Mumbai City. Memo came on to replace him and is likely to start on Sunday.

Striker Isma was left out in the last game at the expense of winger Fatkhullo Fatkhuloev. He is expected to return to the attack.
