A 2-0 defeat to ATK Mohun Bagan in their last game means it is now five games without a win for NorthEast United.

A Roy Krishna strike and an own goal from VP Suhair saw Gerard Nus' side lose for the second time three matches.

NorthEast United also went down 1-0 to Jamshedpur and have drawn with Bengaluru, Chennaiyin and bottom side Odisha during their five-game winless run.

A 2-0 victory over East Bengal at the start of December was NorthEast United's last win, and they have slipped out of the top four to seventh place in the table.

Hyderabad Form

Hyderabad bounced back from three straight defeats with an emphatic 4-1 victory over Chennaiyin on Monday.

Manuel Roca's side were clinical with four second-half goals from Joel Chianese, Joao Victor and a Halicharan Narzary double sealing an impressive win.

It was a welcome return to form after losing 2-0 to Mumbai City and Kerala Blasters and going down 2-1 to Goa after conceding twice in the last three minutes.

Having signed off last season with a 5-1 win over NorthEast United, Hyderabad enjoyed a five-game unbeaten start to the season including wins over Odisha and East Bengal.

NorthEast United will be without injured forward Kwesi Appiah once again, but playmaker Luis Machado could come into the starting line-up in the search of goals and a win. Federico Gallego could be the one to make way.

Hyderabad should have a full quota over overseas stars to choose from with attacking midfielder Roland Alberg available for his debut after signing on loan from Roda.

Spanish pair Fran Sandaza and Lluis Sastre were left on the bench Chennaiyin and may have to settle for a cameo role again if Manuel Roca opts for an unchanged side.
