Odisha Form

Odisha have dropped to the foot of the Indian Super League table after four straight defeats. They have a single point from six games.

Stuart Baxter's side went down 2-1 to Bengaluru in their last game. Steven Taylor levelled after 71 minutes, only for Odisha to concede eight minutes later.

Odisha have also lost to ATK Mohun Bagan 1-0, Mumbai City 2-0 and Goa 1-0 in their recent run of defeats. Their only point of the season came from a 2-2 draw with Jamshedpur.

NorthEast United Form

NorthEast United suffered a first defeat of the season in their last game as they lost 1-0 to Jamshedpur.

Aniket Jadhav put Jamshedpur ahead after 53 minutes, and NorthEast United were left to rue Idrissa Sylla's missed a second half penalty as they went home with nothing.

Gerard Nus' side had enjoyed a six-game unbeaten start to the season. It was made up of four draws against Kerala Blasters, Goa, Bengaluru and Chennaiyin, and two wins over Mumbai City and East Bengal.

Team News

Odisha's Brazilian midfielder Marcelinho has had to make do with substitute appearances in the last three games. He looks set to be handed a chance in the search for goals and points.

NorthEast United paired Idrissa Sylla and Kwesi Appiah together in the last game. One is likely to drop to the bench in place of playmaker Luis Machado. Fellow midfielder Federico Gallego could be handed a start.

Head to Head

There has been nothing to split these sides in Indian Super League history. Odisha have won four of 12 head to heads, NorthEast United have four wins and there have been four draws. Last season, it was a 2-1 victory for each side at home.

Odisha are stuck in a rut and have limited goalscoring options. NorthEast United have been the draw specialists this season, but this represents an opportunity to get back to winning ways.

  • Odisha have lost their last 4 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Odisha have failed to score in 4 of their 6 matches this season (Indian Super League).
  • NorthEast United have won 4 of their last 7 matches against Odisha (Indian Super League).
