Brisbane Heat will look to move with one point of Sydney Sixers when they play in match #35 of the Big Bash League 2020-21 at Carrara Oval in Queensland on Sunday.

Sydney Sixers Form

The Sixers are coming off a heavy 86-run loss to Perth Scorchers making it two losses in their last three matches. The comfort factor for the Sixers, though, is that they have won all three matches they played at this venue.

Josh Philippe’s form with the bat (266 runs, SR 142.24) has been crucial for the Sixers, while Daniel Hughes has also chipped in at times. Steve O’Keefe (10 wickets, ER 7.13) has managed to lead the way with the ball and could be crucial.

Ben Dwarshuis will not be available for selection, as the left-arm pace-man is out of the squad following a minor groin strain. Tom Rogers and Nick Bertus remain the only players yet to make their Sixers debut.

Brisbane Heat Form

Chris Lynn (167 runs, SR 162.13) has just got back to full fitness and is enjoying the role as an X-Factor Sub / full player. Max Bryant (210) and Jimmy Peirson (153) will also be important with the bat. Bowling has been their best suite, though, with Mark Steketee (15) and Mujeeb Ur Rahman (12) dazzling.

Brisbane Heat News

The Heat aren’t missing any regular players and will have a full squad to choose from. Morne Morkel is playing in the nets and the Heat have applied to the Technical Committee to reinstate him in the squad.
