Goa Form

Goa have moved back into the top four in the Indian Super League after a three-game unbeaten run, and have done so with some late goals.

Igor Angulo scored a 95th minute winner to defeat Jamshedpur 2-1. Ishan Pandita (87th minute) and Angulo (91st minute) then sealed a 2-1 win over Hyderabad.

It was Devendra Murgaokar who was on the mark in the 81st minute of Goa's last game, a 1-1 draw with East Bengal. Juan Ferrando's side reacted well to going behind two minutes earlier to Bright Enobakhare's goal.

Last season's table toppers have now won four of their last seven matches to put themselves firmly in the play-off picture at the halfway mark of the season.

Goa Team News

Spanish midfielder Alberto Noguera has been the odd one out in the last three games, having to settle for bit part roles from the bench.

Midfielder Ishan Pandita is pushing for a starting role.

Jamshedpur Form

Jamshedpur missed the chance to move back into the top four when losing a five-goal thriller against Kerala Blasters on Sunday.

Owen Coyle's team went behind to Costa Nhamoinesu's 22nd minute opener, but levelled through Nerijus Valskis 14 minutes later.

Two goals from Jordan Murray in quick succession put Kerala 3-1 late in the game before Valskis set up a tense finale with his eighth goal of the season.

It is now two defeats in their last three games for Jamshedpur, following the loss to Goa. In between, the Men of Steel were 1-0 winners over Bengaluru thanks to a Stephen Eze goal.

Jamshedpur Team News

Jamshedpur boss Owen Coyle will consider bringing in forwards David Grande and Nick Fitzgerald to freshen up his pack after the quick turnaround from the defeat to Kerala Blasters.

Defender Narender Gahlot made his return from injury as a substitute in that game. Fellow defender Laldinliana Renthlei is still an injury doubt.

Head to Head

Goa have an excellent record against Jamshedpur, winning five of the nine matches between the sides in the Indian Super League. Jamshedpur have won twice and there has been one draw.

Goa have won the last two clashes, 5-0 at home last season and a 2-1 victory earlier this season. Igor Angulo won the game with a 95th minute winner for Goa. Angulo had earlier cancelled out Stephen Eze's goal with a penalty.

Jamshedpur were, however, left to rue a controversial decision. When leading 1-0, an Alex shot crossed the line but wasn't given by the officials.

Predictions

Goa have enjoyed facing Jamshedpur, winning three of the last four meetings. They were fortunate to claim all three points in the reverse fixture, but are in better form now and can repeat the victory.

BTTS has been a constant for Goa of late, and that is also predicted.

  • Goa are unbeaten in their last 3 matches (2W, 1D) (Indian Super League).
  • Goa have seen BTTS in their last 4 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Goa have won their last 2 matches against Jamshedpur (Indian Super League).
  • Jamshedpur have lost 2 of their last 3 matches (Indian Super League).
  • Jamshedpur's Nerijus Valskis tops the Indian Super League goalscoring charts with 8 goals this season.
