Sydney Thunder and Perth Scorchers have won only one game between them so far in the Big Bash League 10 which puts their clash on Tuesday at Manuka Oval into perspective.

The Thunder have played two matches winning one and losing one. In both the matches they have conceded the ‘Bash Boost’ point and have three points so far to be in sixth place. The Scorchers have lost one while conceding the ‘Bash Boost’ point while their latest match against the Stars got washed out. The Scorchers are seventh in the standings with two points.

Sydney Thunder Form

Sydney Thunder lost their opening match to Melbourne Stars by 22 runs, but bounced back for a four-wicket win over Brisbane Heat. From 80/5 chasing 179 against the Heat, the Thunder stormed back to a win thanks to Daniel Sams’ brutal knock off 65* off 25 balls.

Sams remains the Thunder’s best bet with both bat and ball (four wickets, ER 8.00) while they look for captain Callum Ferguson to regain form. England import Alex Hales (46 runs, SR 109.52) hasn’t yet kicked off and the Thunder will be expecting him to get into top gear soon.

Sydney Thunder News

The Thunder’s head coach Shane Bond indicated that fellow New Zealand Adam Milne is set to make his Thunder debut in this match. His pace will be crucial for the Thunder, who also have the impressive leg-spinner Tanveer Sangha in their ranks.

Perth Scorchers Form

Perth Scorchers started the season with a seven-wicket thumping at the hands of Melbourne Renegades. Aaron Hardie and Ashton Turner were the only batsmen to score more than 20 as their batting collapsed to 130 all out.

Jhye Richardson took a couple of wickets, but that wasn’t enough in stopping their loss. The washout against the Stars saw Colin Munro and Ashton Turner get some runs under their belt, which remains a positive piece of news for the Scorchers.
